The Healing Retreat--Messiah/Israel centricity

Last weekend we held a retreat out at LaHacienda in Freeport, Illinois, to teach on and discuss how The Healing of Jabez can be used to bring healing to individuals and be used to equip groups like teenagers in a church or a home study group to have their own healing ministry. We talked about chaplains and Steven Ministers using the book. Can the Healing of Jabez be a gift from those passing on to the next life to those who have yet to enter into the Eternal Life Portal of which Jesus spoke? (Jn.10:7) Because the attendees were well acquainted with the basics of healing, I decided to teach on some more advanced ideas. One is Messiah centricity. Take a look at the account of the Canaanite woman in Mt. 18 and Mk 7. It seems that Jesus first allows her to exercise her persistent faith and humility. The confession which brings healing however, is one that I will call Messiah/Israel centricity. When she reminds Jesus that his ministry, though centered in Israel, extends outward, her daughter is healed! OTHERWISE JESUS WOULD HAVE HAD TO DENY HIMSELF.
