So your book really filled a void. In fact, since it is not a long book, I am just reading one chapter a day to extract all that I can from it. I'm sure there are others like me who are looking for wholeness, but they need the absolute truth to be healed. "The Healing of Jabez has truly blessed my heart and my soul. This book was given to me by my pastor during a time in my life where pain was all around me. Last year, I broke up with someone I truly loved; the first person I’d ever dated in life. I had been struggling to release the pain and hurt that I had experienced from the break-up and it wasn’t easy. My pain turned into anger which led to hatred, which led to bitterness, which led to guilt and condemnation.

 This book has been very instrumental in leading a healing process which has moved me to full forgiveness toward my ex. I saw myself in Jabez. "Earlier this year, I fell and broke my arm. My family has never had problems with broken bones so I thought that I should go in for a test to see if I had something wrong with my bones. When the doctors were examining me, they found two cysts on my ovary, one of which they thought was cancerous. They said that I needed to get it removed immediately which obviously made me quite alarmed. 

The next day, my friend, who is a Christian, called me. She and I had been trying to get together for a long time and she was calling to arrange a get together for dinner. Because of the recent news I was feeling scared and vulnerable, so I told her what had happened. She said she had a friend who was friends with one of the best ovarian cancer doctors in the country. She gave me his number and I called, but they said they were not going to be able to see me for three or four weeks. I told my friend this and she decided to call for me. She got me in the next day and we were able to schedule a surgery. 

A week later, I went to a bible study with John Mauck and others. I asked him to pray for my situation and he did. As he and the others were praying, I felt like Jesus was standing behind me. It was like a miracle. Tons of people were praying for me and I could sense a peace come over me. I used The Healing of Jabez all throughout this difficult time. 

When I had my surgery, the doctors discovered the cysts were not cancerous even though one of them was as large as a grapefruit. I truly believe that God’s hand was over me and that John’s book helped keep me strong and faithful."
